North American Roofing is a large commercial roofing contractor servicing the United States.
We are searching for a Commercial Roofing Superintendent, located within 60 miles of Birmingham, Alabama.
Purpose of the Job:
Lead Field Crews to perform re-roof installations in an efficient and safe manner.
Job Duties:
Management of Field CrewsEnsure crews are staffed to meet production needs by interviewing and selecting candidates to fill open positions.
Ensure all crew members are trained to meet safety and quality standards by providing detailed training as needed- from Toolbox talks to skills training.
Develop and perform ongoing crew assessments in order to strengthen performance of the Field Managers and crew level staffDevelop and conduct career development training programs for crew members and Field ManagersUtilizing training offerings provided by manufacturersManage the tools and material needs of each crewReview job scope, travel budget and hours of each job with the Field Manager prior to job startAct as liaison between Field Manager and PM and quickly resolve and remove roadblocks for crewsAdministrative DutiesReview and approve weekly timekeeping for crews by reconciling time to Geo Tab reportsReview and approve monthly expense reportsReview daily crew progress and daily labor as compared to budget and adjust as neededProvide feedback during project handoff on estimated hoursComplete accident reports and investigate incidents as neededEnsure all FM checklists are complete and daily progress reports submitted to CRMSkills &
Qualifications:
High school diploma or Equivalency10
years of commercial roofing experience leading five or more crews.
OSHA 30 certified or the ability to acquire the certification within two months of hireProficiency with Microsoft office productsSpanish bilingual skills preferredKnowledge of local area codes and regulations preferredAbility to travel extensivelyExperience in Coatings, Single Ply, Hot, Metal roofing systems a plusCerta trained a plusWorking Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in outdoor weather conditions.
Must be able to work in varied extreme weather conditions (extreme hot and extreme cold).
50-60% travel by car or plane.
Repetitive bending and stooping with occasional lifting up to 40 pounds is required.
Operating heavy equipment and lifting heavy materials occasionally.
Repetitive finger/hand/forearm motion necessary for completing data entry.
Ability to manipulate keyboards, telephone keypads, and other office equipment.
Talking and listening required for answering telephones and conversing personally with customers and staff.
Manual dexterity required for accessing filing cabinets.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
